To promote the Cheapskates OMG it’s HUGE SALE, Node created a campaign themed around the Japanese pop culture icon, Godzilla.
The Solution
Building an application on Facebook allowed users to enter to win $200 worth of store credit at Cheapskates, by recruiting an army of friends to take on Godzilla. The person who recruited the biggest army by using the Facebook Invite Friends functionality, would win the store credit.
The Results
The campaign ran for 8 days and recruited an army of over 10,000 users with the top user recruiting 1,251 friends. The campaign generated an increase in sales of 30% during the sale, and contributed 3,500 new fans to the Cheapskates Facebook Page.
